more musings

to all who are idle
to all those confused
get out and get active
dont be afraid to lose

seek the Lord
keep his commands
for this is the whole
duty of man

your meaning your plans
have been sucked dry
the world has truly
led you awry

turn back repent
come back to Jesus
only Him from this darkness
can He truly free us

musings

Not really poety, i didnt spend much time on these, but thoughts as they flow in my mind..

Lord, i have faith in all that you do
my hope my joy my wonder
you have torn my world asunder
and i pray for the turning
of my soul from spurning
of forgetting your grace love and mercy

--

faith, i have in you Lord
my rock, my solid ground
my feet have a place to stand
i will not fall, you are there
with me

--

what greatness is this gift of time
the Lord, ever eternal
we cannot see or prevent or fathom
only learn from the past
as we trudge on in faith
what excitement He has created

 Window to the World

Windows are sweet.  Daydreamers have been staring out windows since the dawn of time, and I remember doing this myself in 5th grade, looking out the window envious of all the other kids who are having recess, thinking, soon, my time will come, and I too will join the ranks of free and spirited.  Or just in my room, looking out the window to the highway across the street, thinking, man, I'm glad I'm not in that traffic jam.

Last week my parents and Joseph moved into their new house also across the street.  Joe absolutely loves the new house and likes to rub it in my face that he's gonna move there forever.  We'll see how he likes the new house when suddenly all his toys "moved" back in with me.  Mu hu ha ha ha.  It is a sweet place though, and I'm glad he's not too sad about moving away from his big brothers.  Hmm, I hope that's not the reason he's so happy.

The first night they stayed there everyone went to bed and Joe went to his own room.  When things settled down a bit and it got quiet, my mom went over to check on Joe.  What she saw was in my opinion one of the cutest things I ever heard.  She said he was just sitting on his bed, looking out the window and watching the carpenters, who were working late on the other townhomes, and sat there quiet without making a sound.  The next day he told Weeyum he was scared of the noises, and Weeyum told him not to worry, because he'll beat them up.  To that Joseph replied "Yay!"

The Man Himself...

My private birthday party.  "Wake up Mike, It's 8pm, Let's sing Happy Birthday!"

I found this when I came home one night from the airport, he said he wanted to be a builder:

Nice!  More pics in the photos section.  Xanga really bulked up since the last time I posted.

A poem -- what do people think about when they look out the window?  Windows are places where dreams are made.

What's Out the Window?

Hi baby boy,
Just what are you thinking
When you look out the window
As the stars are all twinkling?

What fills your mind,
What's in your head -
As you stare out at night
On the edge of your bed?

Are you just scared
Of the noises outside?
Well do not fear,
For big brother is here!

Innocent boy,
Don't lose your wonder -
Your most favorite toys
Were a dollar or under.

Someday you'll grow,
And I hope you will find
Through and beyond that glass window -
A heart of compassion
And love for mankind.

"i'm azrael abyss, prince of sorrow..."

"shut up todd i'm trying to watch tv"

eprops to whoever can guess where that's from.  yes, i feel like the prince of sorrow today.  well, not really, but i could be.  as i was going thru airport security yesterday, i reached in my pocket to pull out my cell phone, but instead my mp3 player came out of it.  then, i started to get this sinking feeling ...  after frisking myself, twice to be sure... one more time for good luck ... and checking all my bags, my worst fear had been confirmed - i had left my phone in the office.  at least i hope it's there and not in the rental car.  i can just see the next person who rents that car - "hey,  free cell phone!"

oh the horror...  few words can express the sorrow i feel.  well, maybe 150 words can.

Cell Phone Blues

I think I lost my cell phone,
Oh I feel so much alone -
I'm in a place I never knew -
I think I've got the cell phone blues...

How are my friends, I wonder,
I wish I kept their numbers,
I remember 2 I've got no clue
Oh how I've got the cell phone blues...

Goin out tonite?
Just gimme a ... oh yeah, that's right...
Cool points down a factor of two
Sigh, I've got the cell phone blues...

I hadn't known you for 18 years,
Then from nowhere you appeared,
How ever did I do without you?
Oh my I've got the cell phone blues.

Perhaps a blessing in disguise?
Cell phones tend to disrupt lives.
I'll re-live briefly my days of youth,
Before these cell phones were in use,
And perhaps I'll see the light of day,
And these cell phone blues will go away...
