Window to the World Windows are sweet. Daydreamers have been staring out windows since the dawn of time, and I remember doing this myself in 5th grade, looking out the window envious of all the other kids who are having recess, thinking, soon, my time will come, and I too will join the ranks of free and spirited. Or just in my room, looking out the window to the highway across the street, thinking, man, I'm glad I'm not in that traffic jam. Last week my parents and Joseph moved into their new house also across the street. Joe absolutely loves the new house and likes to rub it in my face that he's gonna move there forever. We'll see how he likes the new house when suddenly all his toys "moved" back in with me. Mu hu ha ha ha. It is a sweet place though, and I'm glad he's not too sad about moving away from his big brothers. Hmm, I hope that's not the reason he's so happy. The first night they stayed there everyone went to bed and Joe went to his own room. When things settled down a bit and it got quiet, my mom went over to check on Joe. What she saw was in my opinion one of the cutest things I ever heard. She said he was just sitting on his bed, looking out the window and watching the carpenters, who were working late on the other townhomes, and sat there quiet without making a sound. The next day he told Weeyum he was scared of the noises, and Weeyum told him not to worry, because he'll beat them up. To that Joseph replied "Yay!" The Man Himself... My private birthday party. "Wake up Mike, It's 8pm, Let's sing Happy Birthday!"
I found this when I came home one night from the airport, he said he wanted to be a builder:
Nice! More pics in the photos section. Xanga really bulked up since the last time I posted.
A poem -- what do people think about when they look out the window? Windows are places where dreams are made. What's Out the Window? Hi baby boy, Just what are you thinking When you look out the window As the stars are all twinkling? What fills your mind, What's in your head - As you stare out at night On the edge of your bed? Are you just scared Of the noises outside? Well do not fear, For big brother is here! Innocent boy, Don't lose your wonder - Your most favorite toys Were a dollar or under. Someday you'll grow, And I hope you will find Through and beyond that glass window - A heart of compassion And love for mankind. |
